Rules
Language
All the contents of this site should be in English. If you wish to participate please do your best to use correct English while communicating your thoughts.
If your English language ability is poor, posting your question in your native language together with the translated form would be very helpful to everyone. Since this is a worldwide forum, many members here can read and speak multiple languages. Therefore it is possible that someone will translate your question into English for you if it is written correctly.
While posting questions in the forums, please provide all of the related information regarding your question/problem. This may include, but is not limited to, images, files, articles, schematics, links to trustworthy websites, and other resources. Any relevant information you can provide will give other members more context and will lead to clearer, more specific answers.
Please do not use cell phone Text Language. Please use full words and sentences while posting anything on this website. You do not need to have perfect writing skills, but the more accurate you make your questions and answers, the better will be the advice which you receive in return.
Post and Content Rules
Do not post contents using CAPITAL letters or do not use huge fonts.
Do not post useless post titles like ‘Tank You”, “Help me”, “You may know”, etc. Instead write descriptive titles.
Do not use abbreviations unless those are universally accepted. Type complete words.
Do not use SMS abbreviations, they make posts unreadable and difficult to understand.
Do not use excessive emoticons or excessive punctuation marks.
Do not post illegal content or do not discuss illegal activities like software piracy, intellectual property violations etc.
Do not discuss politics, religions, ethnicity or any such topics.
Do not contact users for help or advertisements.
Do not post unrelated to existing forum threads.
Select proper sections in the forum and do not post duplicate topics. Do not create multiple threads with same topic.
If you are willing to reply to any forum question, always provide meaningful information. Please do not reply like “google it” or “read textbook”.
Attachments
Attachments, like the posts to which they are appended, should be relevant to the topic at hand. Don’t upload files that are widely available in the internet and can be found easily like datasheets or application notes, post a link instead. Drawings, diagrams or schematics should ideally be in GIF, JPEG or PNG format, not Bitmap. Also format your image attachments properly, use an image resolution that is easily readable, not too big or too small and use gif, png, or jpeg extension to reduce the size of the file. Avoid using bmp image format, it occupies a huge size compared to the formats described above and can’t be shown directly in a browser which is an additional inconvenience.
If your code is long prefer to use a zip file to attach it in the post instead of directly posting it.
Don’t upload your files to external servers and post the links, these files will be deleted after a while and the thread will become useless, attach your files in the post. Moderators will delete any posts that includes files uploaded to file sharing servers like Rapidshare, 4shared etc.
Try to uploads compressed formats that are easily opened by different operating systems, zip is preferred over rar or 7zip and note that the attachments should never be password protected.
Attachments containing offensive, illegal or otherwise contentious content are not allowed. Content that may adversely affect another user of the forum, for example malware, is strictly not allowed. The administration at Embedded Flakes reserves the right to remove any attachment that it feels contravenes this rule.
Restricted Topics
To ensure safety of the users the following topics are considered “off-topic” at all times and will result in Your thread being closed without question:
- Any kind of over-unity devices and systems
- Any kind of jammers (ie – Phone jammers)
- Rail guns and high-energy projectile devices
- Transformer-less power supplies
- Devices designed to electrocute or shock another person
- LEDs to mains
If You come across a thread or post discussing any of the above topics please report the thread so We can close, and if necessary remove, the offending thread/posts.
Advertisements
Advertising is currently allowed only in the Business/Promotional section. Advertising in Business/Promotional section are allowed only for electronics designs related topics. No commercial advertising of any kind is accepted in Albums, Groups, Biography, Location, Interests, user signatures or any other place.
Please do not post duplicate advertisements. Do not post advertisements related to gadgets, personal computers, nutrition, medicine, fitness, web design etc.
Spam
Do not post any unsolicited advertisement for goods or services or links to their websites which are little or not completely related. Do not try to self promote yourself or your service by adding links to your website, business or forum.
Do not create multiple accounts to in order to bump your thread or give helpful ratings for yourself or your friends. Members found to have multiple accounts will be banned. Do not add useless follow up messages to increase forum thread visibility.
Code of Conduct
Appropriate conduct
Debates should be a civil activity and can be both enlightening and entertaining, but always keep discussion to the facts and the opinions. Ad hominem tactics and directed abuse are always “off-topic”. Forum members are responsible for the content of their posts, including information they provide, validity of this information, and any extra content they may append to the post. Illegal or inappropriate discussion or information will be removed. When there is ambiguity in the legal status of a request or reply, the Moderators and Admin will come to a consensus on whether the discussion is appropriate to remain in the public forum.
Forum members must not knowingly provide any information that may adversely affect another member; this includes, but is not restricted to, information that may potentially result in injury, death, damage or destruction of property and possessions. The administration takes this matter seriously and has the right to remove any contentious content and deal with the offending member as it deems is necessary.
Signatures should be short and should not contain any offensive contents. Signature should be in English language. It should NOT have advertisements, link to other web site, email or images.

This website do not differentiate people by any means and treat everyone equally. Registration to this website is not restricted by any of the following factor.

Safety
Safety is important to everyone. Ultimately you and you alone are responsible for your own safety regarding any circuit, device, or system you are working on.
Keep in mind that some members here may be as highly skilled and experienced as others are incompetent and careless. That means that no one but you, the end user, can see and accordingly judge the potential dangers that others’ advice or suggestions may hold for you, based on your present skill sets and knowledge of what you are attempting to do.
If you are not sure if something someone says is safe or legal, ask follow-up questions and do more research before attempting it. It is ultimately your responsibility to determine whether or not a solution is safe and legal. Use the information you get here at your own risk and to the best of your own judgement.
Behaviour
This site is for diverse group of people, so act accordingly and keep the profanity to yourself.
Do not use vulgar language, along with inappropriate pictures or linking to inappropriate sites, is not allowed here.
Do not degrade, insult, or otherwise belittle other users and moderators.
Any such offence is subject to deletion with the possibility of temporary or permanent ban based on the seriousness of the offence. Posting of private information is also prohibited and will also be edited or deleted without any notice.
Disagreement
When two or more people disagree, they may state their points of contention in a professional manner including any supporting information to back up their point.
To the best of the site’s ability, no single moderator can act as judge, jury, and executioner in a disagreement with any single member or group of members, unless a rule has obviously been broken.
When a moderator and a member have a disagreement related to the rules, the member and moderator may take their case to the other moderators for resolution via a written private message. The administration is the last recourse if the member or moderator does not agree with the other moderators’ decision. Either party can make their case to the administrator for final resolution via a written private message with a copy to all others involved. The others have a chance to state their case. The administrator may appoint someone to act as a binding arbitrator by notifying all involved, and forwarding all relevant private messages to whomever the administrator decides should act as a binding arbitrator.
Simple disagreement is not breaking a rule but blatant temper tantrums, trolling, bashing, flaming, or insulting other members is not acceptable.
Copyright
When referencing copyrighted material, please provide the relevant credit.Do not upload, attach, or otherwise post any copyrighted material which you are not free to redistribute (subject to the licensing terms of the specific item). In most cases, a link to the original source is acceptable, if applicable. We do not condone nor accept posts pertaining to illegal activities such as hacking, cracking, *****, or spam.
IEEE papers are also copyrighted and as such not allowed unless you have the author permission.
Please do not make requests for, or post links to, material that otherwise contravenes the conditions of the original or subsequent author’s copyright. All instances of such requests will be met firstly with a warning, and secondly with a ban. If you have a question about having permission to post or attach a specific item, please ask a moderator.

Role of the Moderators
The Moderators are here to help the membership. If a moderator believes that a question will draw more attention or help in another forum, they may move the thread to draw more responses. If a topic or post has accidentally been duplicated, they will remove the extraneous post. A new topic that repeats a previous topic might be merged for the convenience of the membership. Moderators may also offer occasional encouragement to keep debates civil, should the need arise. When debates become heated the Moderators reserve the right to closed or moderate threads and posts that may be deemed unsuitable in the wider interests of the community.The Administration and Moderating Team reserves the right to edit your posts, threads, and user information in any way they deem necessary. The Moderators will only do such a thing if there is a reason and such reasons will not be questioned. Re-posting content that was removed by The Moderators will result in swift action and a ban. Although the Embedded Flakes Administration and Moderation Team will attempt to keep all objectionable posts and threads off this forum, it is impossible for Us to review all messages. Therefore if You come across post or threads that violate Our User Agreement, or contain any offensive, illegal, or otherwise contentious content on The Embedded Flakes Forums, please alert a member of the Administration and Moderating Team and we will deal with the offending content. Consequences of Failure to Adhere to the Embedded Flakes User Agreement
We do not expect anything less than full co-operation with the rules outlined. If You break a rule, expect consequences. Depending on the circumstances an infraction will result in a standard warning and an e-mail from the Moderating Team. In more severe circumstances the account will be permanently removed from the system and the IP address banned.
